Easy Solution for Lost Pin for Trailer Breakaway System

Question:

I have a TAP Engager brake away system, and I need the pin that plugs into the control that activates the brakes if the trailer becomes detached from the towing vehicle. Can I get that from you, or do I have to buy a complete new system? It has a number on the box 311-0041-035 Rev. C2/05, if that helps identify it better for you. Thank you.

The TAP Engager brakeaway kit you have on your trailer is a standard style of breakaway very similar to the Hopkins Engager part # 20099. For a replacement pin setup that would work well we have the # HM20010 which gives you a new switch, pin and cable. This is the easiest way to replace a breakaway pin is replacing the switch and pin all together as the switches themselves are all universal but matching the pins can be a bit harder.

For just the pin of this system we have the # HM20051 which is almost the exact same price as the # HM20010.
