Gooseneck Hitch and Suspension Enhancement for 2003 Ram 3500

Question:

I saw a comment saying a curt underbed gooseneck on a 2003 ram 3500 C60682 could be used with a Firestone airbag kit F2299 because the gooseneck bracket is outside and the firestone kit is inside the frame. It appears that they both use the holes from the original rubber bump stop. Do you just stack them? Could you do the same with Timbrens? Im using this to decide between Band w and Curt hitches. Also... opinion on band w vs curt cross rails? seems to me BandW makes them good for more tongue weight and curt has a disclaimer that says even though the center section is good for 7500 pounds, the rails are rated to the truck cargo capacity making me think they are weaker. I like that the curt has easier no measuring installation and more hardware holding the side plates on as we as more front to back support it seems. band w only has a single 1/2inch bolt on each side besides the u bolts while the curt has the two bumper stop brackets and two u bolts... so.... which is better?

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Spring # F2299 install on the bottom and inside of the bed frame rail as you stated. It does utilize the original bump stop location. You may also be interested in the shock absorber # F4350 that works in conjunction with these springs for an even better ride. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR3500CA is also a compatible fit with a gooseneck hitch and utilizes the same location.

For your gooseneck hitch, I recommend the B&W # BWGNRK1313. I believe it is a better hitch overall and have attached a video of some comparisons to assist. The Curt EZr # C60682 doesn't allow as many options for direct compatibility with other parts like a 5th wheel hitch, but if you are just going for a gooseneck the ease of drilling makes the Curt system more appealing. I personally would go with the B&W based on its reputation and versatility, but the Curt is a very close second based on their design and ease of installation.
