Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring with No Power for Lights on Right Side

Question:

What may be the problem if I do not have power to the green and brown cables coming from the hookup for the towing system. I have power to the other two cables and the left side of the trailer works but not the trailer lights on the right side. Thanks,

It sounds like you have wishbone wiring on your trailer like part # A35W42B since you have 2 wires for power on both sides of your trailer. If the right side of your trailer isn't getting signals then the problem is either you have a bad ground or damaged wiring.

Check your grounds to make sure they are securely connected to a clean, bare-metal surface and then check your wiring for any places where it is damaged or even bent, replacing as necessary.
