How is MaxxFan Roof Vent Installed in 2" Roof?

I’m looking for a fan that will fit the 2-inch thickness of my tear camper roof. The video makes this fan look to be about 4 inches thick. Do I need to cut the insert to make it fit?

The MaxxFan Roof Vent with 12V Fan # MA00A04301K will fits roofs that are 2" - 6-1/2" thick, and in order to install it in your tear camper's 2" roof you are correct that you do need to cut the insert - interior Garnish Trim Ring - to make it fit the thickness of your roof, as you can see in the accompanying cutout of the directions I've added.

You will need Sealant # 0160297 for the install, but the MaxxFan comes with the rest of the necessary hardware.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
