Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2008 VW Rabbit the Curt # C11074 is a fit and is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 lbs and tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs.
For wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights you need Wiring Harness # C59236 which will give you a 4-flat connector. The correct ball mount for this hitch is # C45016 and depending on the hitch ball size your motorcycle trailer's coupler accepts you will need either 1-7/8" hitch ball # A-80 or 2" hitch ball # A-82. Finally, to keep the ball mount firmly in place in your hitch you need pin and clip # F-4.
