Trailer Part Difference Between 2010 VW Jetta Sedan and Sportwagen Models
Question:
Is there a difference in trailer package 2010 Jetta sedan vs 2010 Jetta sportwagon
asked by: Ralph R
Expert Reply:
Yes. There is a difference in the fit for a 2010 Jetta Sedan compared to the Jetta Sportwagen.
For a 2010 Jetta Sedan, I recommend the Curt # C11474 for a trailer hitch, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118667 (which connects behind tail lights), and ball mount # 3593. Then you can use hitch ball # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball or # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.
For a 2010 Jetta Sportwagen, the frame is the same so the hitch will be the same but the wiring harness will be different. For the wiring harness, I recommend the 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit - Includes Tester # C59496. The ball mount and hitch ball will be the same as the sedan model.
