Recommended ST205/75R14 Tires for 2018 Forest River Trailer

Question:

I have a 2018 Forest River trailer that is 21foot long and has a weight rating loaded of 4600 lbs. I have Sterling Sport ST Trailer Radials ST205 75R 14 tires on there now. It is dual wheels on each side for a total of 4 tires. I read somewhere that the tires that these trailer companies install on their trailer arent real good tires and should consider changing them to a better tire. I sometime go 75-80 miles per hour when driving. Please advise and what would be recommended?

When looking at replacement tires for your 2018 Forest River Trailer, you will want to make sure that they will provide you with a combined load capacity that matches or, ideally, exceeds the possible loaded weight of the trailer. You will also want to choose a set that gives you an appropriate speed rating for the speeds you are wanting to travel on the highway.

To upgrade the tires on your trailer, I recommend taking a look at the Taskmaster ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # TR20514. This radial ply tire features a maximum load of 1,760 pounds at 50 psi, giving you a healthy safety margin with the combined load capacity of 7,040 pounds for the trailer's 4 tires (1,760 x 4). This particular tire also has an excellent speed rating of 81 mph.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this tire that you can also check out.
