Camco Power Maximizer for 50-Amp RV That Has Access to Only 30-Amp and 15-Amp Service

Question:

I have a fifth wheel that requires 50 amps. I am visiting a Texas State Park that only provides 30 amps. I was informed buy a reservation person at Texas State Parks theres a product that he called Maxer Power but he wasnt sure if that was the right name. He said you hook it up to your power cord and that it will provide the equivalent of 50 amps. Does this product description sound like anything you may have in your inventory? Thanks.

We offer many RV wiring adapter items that can allow connecting 50-amp devices to 30-amp service at an RV park.

I think the item that was mentioned to you is the CAMCO Power Grip RV Power Maximizer # CAM55025. This is a Y-type adapter cord that on one end has a 50-amp female connector for your RV and on the other end two separate connectors for 15- and 30-amp service.

By connecting the two lower-rated plugs to the RV park power access you end up with a total of 45-amps of current for the RV. This is not quite the 50 you would have ideally but it gets you close.
