We do offer several brands of special trailer tires (ST tires) but not Carlisle so I cannot comment on their products. RV forums may help you find out what folks think about them and other brands. Right on our site you can refer to the customer reviews we post on each tire page; just click on the gold stars to see what etrailer customers think of that product after having owned it for a while.

The tire size ST175/80R13 can require more or less inflation pressure depending on the tire's Load Range rating, which is how much weight it can carry. In your size ST175/80R13 we have three load ranges available: B, C and D. These can handle differing amounts of weight and the higher capacity tires will also naturally require more inflation pressure to meet that rating. For instance, Kenda load range B tire # AM1ST74 is rated for 1100-lbs at its required 35-psi pressure; Taskmaster load range C tire # TTWTRTM1758013C is rated for 1350-lbs at 50-psi; and Kenda load range D tire # AM10210 is rated for 1610-lbs at its rated pressure of 65-psi.

Do please note that ALL trailer tires should ALWAYS be inflated to the maximum COLD psi pressure noted right on the tire sidewall. It is never appropriate to under- or over-inflate a trailer tire for any reason.

The main reason any trailer tire will fail is excess heat. The three main causes for a tire to overheat are 1) incorrect inflation pressure; 2) overloading beyond the rated weight capacity; and 3) driving faster than the tire's rated maximum speed. All three of these issues generates heat; all three at once all but guarantee a tire failure.
