B&W Underbed 5th Wheel and Firestone Air Bag Kit for 2013 Ram 2500 MegaCab with Bedliner

Question:

Hi! I called today and asked some questions, but didnt realize til later I wanted under bed rails and not top of bed rails. So, I am starting over. : I also looked through the expert answers and didnt quite find what I am looking for. I have a 2013 Ram 2500 MegaCab. It has a bedliner and no puck system or anything for a 5th wheel or gooseneck attachment, so I am starting with a clean factory slate. I am looking at an rv with the following specs, give or take a few: Dry Weight 7,685 Payload Capacity 2,315 GVWR 10,000 Hitch Weight 1,475 I want a BandW hitch and rails that do not stay on the bed because I will be using the bed for other things. I also was looking at Firestone airbags no compressor and had not yet found the one that would work with my truck. Recommendations, please? Thank you x100!

For your 2013 Ram 2500 the B&W under-bed installation kit you can use for a 5th wheel hitch is part # BWGNRK1313-5W. This fits both short-bed and long-bed trucks.

With a long bed you will use a fixed-type hitch, the Companion # BWRVK3500-5W, but if you have a 6-1/2-foot short bed you will need a slider hitch to give you enough turning clearance, part # BWRVK3400-5W. Your bed liner will need to be trimmed since the hitch must make metal-to-metal contact with the truck bed; it cannot rest on top of a drop-in liner. Spray-on liners are ok. For an in-bed wiring harness you can use Pollak kit # PK11893-11932.

For a Firestone air bag kit that will work well with the hitch I suggest the 5000-lb-rated Ride-Rite set # F2299 which fits both 2WD and 4WD trucks. For automated air pressure adjustment from the comfort of your seat I suggest the compressor part # F2097.

Videos and written instructions are included to help you with your install.
