Securing Excess Strap When Installing the Thule Interstate Cargo Bag # TH869
Question:
with the highlander my roof racks are only 25 inches apart. manual states to loop excess over back and secure with side rings. I cannot find those. How do I install properly, or, can I mount bag sideways???

The side anchoring rings referred to in the instructions for cargo bag # TH869 are just the loops for the straps on the side of the bag. The idea is to keep the strap from flapping around in the wind so really any way you can secure the excess will be fine.
The bag is not meant to be placed on the roof sideways.
