Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System for 8200-lb Tandem Axle Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 2006 F250 super duty 6.0L Diesel truck. I have a class V hitch installed and want to install a weight distribution hitch for my 26 foot boat on a dual axle trailer. Here are the parameters: Tongue weight: 540 lbs. Trailer weight: 8200 lbs. Vehicle weight: 7620 lbs. I have a straight tongue on my trailer so I expect to need a tongue adapter. I also have inertial brakes on my trailer. Hitch ball size 2-5/16. Please advise on the best setup to purchase. Thanks.

For your 2006 F-250 diesel with a Class V hitch like the 2-inch Curt # C15410 we have weight distribution systems you can use with your straight tongue boat trailer with surge brakes.

For a pole tongue adapter rated for your trailer weight you can use Reese # RP58393. With it you can use the Reese Steadi-Flex WD system # RP66559 along with 2-5/16-inch hitch ball # 19286.
