Can Diodes be Used to Prevent ATV Batteries from Draining Each Other
Question:
I want to have two batteries on an atv, one for the atv and one to run the wench. I dont want the winch battery to draw down the atv battery. I want both batteries to charge off the same atv charging circuit. I was thinking of the rm-690 or the rm-7 something with two inputs. What do you think and how to do it?

The Diode part # RM-690 is designed to only allow current to flow in one direction. You could use it to run the charge wire to each battery so that they couldn't drain or charge each other. And then from each battery run a wire to wherever you need current and the two would be separate.
