Can 2002 Ford F-250 Tailgate be Lowered w/Hollywood Racks HR1400 Bike Rack Installed and Arms Folded

I am interested in the HR1400 4 bike rack. I have a 2002 F250. I am wondering about tailgate access. If the rack is empty and parallel to the ground with the uprights down, will a tailgate lower completely without hitting the rack?

I measured the Hollywood Racks bike rack # HR1400Z for you. The part that would most likely make contact with a tailgate is the bracket that holds the arm closest to the back of the truck. From the top of the receiver opening to the top of that bracket measures 10-7/8 inches (see picture). On your 2002 Ford F-250 lower the tailgate and measure from the top of the receiver opening on your hitch to the lowered tailgate. If less than 10-7/8 inches there won't be any interference.
