Will I be able to power a 12v brake controller and charge the battery on my RV trailer with this converter?

The Hopkins Endurance Flex-Coil Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Nite-Glow - 7-Pole to 4-Pole # HM47043 that you referenced does not carry the 12 volt power circuit since the one end only has a 4-way. Because of that you would not be able to charge your battery through this adapter. We do have the charge line kit from Roadmaster part # RM-156-25 which is designed for what you are looking to do that you'd need to use with the # HM47043 since it carries the light circuits.
