What you could do is replace the suspension with the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension # TSR7000T04 for 2-3/8 inch diameter round axles or # TSR7000T05 for 3 inch diameter round axles. These will allow you to retain the axles you have and replace the steel suspension with rubber suspension. Either system is rated for 7,000 pounds total.

Another option to reduce or possibly eliminate the noise from the suspension is to use 2 sets of Timbren Axle-Less system # ASR3500S05. These will replace the axles and the suspension. The suspension in these systems uses rubber springs.

On a leaf spring suspension all the components are steel so just replacing the equalizers with cushioned equalizers will not stop the noise. Another option is to replace the shackle bolts you have with wet shackle bolts so you can grease them. Depending on where the noise originates this might solve the issue. To replace all of the bolts on a tandem axle trailer you would need a total of 14 of # 126B2.
