Trying to figure out which hitch I need to haul a Streamlite 22SS camper length=24ft, dry weight=3710, cargo weight=2818. My SUV is a 2007 Mercedes Benz ML350. Thanks for your help!

To determine the correct Weight Distribution (WD) system for your application you need to look for one with a Tongue Weight (TW) range that the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your towing setup falls in the middle of. To find the TTW of your towing setup you will need to add the TW of your fully loaded and ready-to-go trailer along with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. Keep in mind that a properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the loaded weight of your trailer.
If we add the 3,710 lb dry weight of your trailer with the 2,818 lb max cargo weight of your trailer this will give us a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of 6,528 lbs. For your TW to be 10-15% that means it would need to be 650 lbs - 980 lbs.
One of the most popular WD systems that we have for this range is the Equal-i-zer System # EQ37100ET. This has a TW range of 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs so it will be perfect for you application, although it is always a smart thing to confirm your TTW just to be sure.
This system comes with everything that you need including a 2-5/16" hitch ball. We do recommend using a 1-7/8" thin-walled socket, like part # EQ70-00-4800, to make installation of the hitch ball easier.
I have linked a review video for this WD system as well as some articles that you can reference. Please be sure to check your owner's manual for any weight limits and towing instructions.
