Base Plate Kit to work with Blue Ox Alexxa Tow Bar on a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
I have a BX7435 Alexus Tow Bar and a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU with the factory bumper. Will this base plate work?

Yes, since you have the standard factory bumper on your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited the Roadmaster base plate kit, part # RM-521448-4, will fit. It also pairs well with the Alexxa tow bar you have using the # RM-032 adapter. I've linked an install video on a 2015 JKU that's a similar process to yours. If you don't already have safety cables I recommend part # RM-643.
If you also need wiring or the Jeep's lights I recommend part # RM-15267. It includes everything you need and you end up with a 6-way at the front of the Jeep. Plus the cable to connect your motorhome to the Jeep is included too. You also need a Brake-Lite relay to keep the Jeep's lights from overriding the RV's, part # RM-88400.
The braking system I recommend is the Stay-IN-Play DUO, part # SM99251. The initial install is more than a portable unit but once intsalled you don't have to worry about it anymore. All you need to do is turn it on.
Finally, you probably need a high-low adapter depending on how level the tow bar is when connected to the Jeep. You want to keep it within 3 inches of level. I've linked our high-low adapters for you, as well as an article to help you determine which one you need.
I've also linked several articles on flat towing you mind helpful, as well as videos on the parts I've recommended.
