Adding a 4- and 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2000 Dodge Ram with Factory Wiring Harness

Question:

My 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 had a 7 blade, 4 pin trailer plug in the factory bumper. This combo plug, plugged into the factory 4 pin connector under the rear of truck. The 4 pin connector under the truck is a female. I cannot find a combo 4/7 plug that has a male 4 pin connector to plug into the female 4 pin under the truck. Its been years since I misplaced the plug, but I do know it just plugged into the factory harness. The only plug under the rear of truck is the female 4 pin. Any ideas?

We have 4-Ways that Tee into that square factory connector, such as # 118381 which also fits some full size vans. We also have a 7-Way # HM42190 but it doesn't have a 4-Way built in. But we also have # 20135 which is both a 4- and 7-Way and has that squarish connector.

If you are not the original owner of the truck then it is possible that it came with a 4-Way flat (or someone added one) and then used a 4- to 7-Way adapter such as # 37185.
