How Do You Determine If a 2006 Jeep Liberty Has the Tow Package Wiring?

Question:

How does one determine if my 2006 Jeep Liberty have a factory harness or not? Have looked under body and hood and do not see any wiring that could be the factory installation system, however the vehicle came with a tow package. Thanks

With your 2006 Jeep Liberty, the factory tow package wiring is not easy to distinguish. If you have a factory 7-way that makes it easy as you know that the tow package wiring is there. The main difference between the tow package and no tow package is the wiring for the tow package gives you the rectangular connector under the vehicle that the 7-way # HM42190 plugs into. You can also use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118381 which plugs into the same location. This wiring is found behind the rear bumper on the driver's side.

If you didn't have the tow package or can't find the factory connector, you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118524 that will connect behind each tail light to your factory wiring.
