Recommended A-Frame Trailer Jack to Replace Existing Jack with Small Diameter Coupler Mount

Question:

Looking for an A Frame trailer jack for a 1948 Mobile Sportsman camper. Diameter of inside tube is only 1-1/4. Are there any trailer jacks made with that small of an inside tube? Camper weigh 2000#. Thank you for any info you can offer!

Most jacks have an outer tube diameter of 2-1/4 inches. We do have a jack that is slightly smaller with the outer diameter being 2 inches. It is the Dutton-Lainson A-Frame Trailer Jack # DL22530. This will be a great option for your 1948 Mobile Sportsman Camper but you will need to enlarge the hole on your A-frame coupler. I recommend using a rotary tool like a Dremel or a hole saw to enlarge the opening in your coupler for proper mounting. Then you can use the caster # DL22414 or foot plate # DL22541.

The 1-1/4 inch trailer jack is definitely not industry standard anymore and we don't have anything really even close to that. If you need additional support in your coupler, you can use the Bottom Support Plate # DL22763 and weld it to the bottom of the coupler.
