We can help get you set for towing in your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Towing typically requires, at minimum, a hitch, wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball. Trailers with electric brakes will also require a trailer brake controller in the tow vehicle and larger trailers may make use of towing mirrors a good idea. The linked articles on towing will be helpful.
Hitch fits depend on your Santa Fe version. If you have the Sport then use USA-made Curt hitch # C13152 for its higher weight rating. If you have the SE or Limited version you can use hitch # C13153.
The vehicle version also affects the choice of wiring kit. For wiring use part # 118571 if you have the Sport WITHOUT factory tow package; for the Sport, SE and Limited WITH tow package instead use # C56332. For the SE and Limited WITHOUT factory tow package use part # C56184.
For a ball mount you can use Curt # C45036 which includes a pre-torqued 2-inch hitch ball. For good basic towing mirrors use # KS3990.
If the trailer has electric brakes, please tell me how many axles and I will be glad to recommend a trailer brake controller.
