Recommended Bike Rack and Hitch for 2017 Nissan Rogue
Question:
Finally was able to install the rack. I love it, and love how it looks on my Rogue. The hitch was great too. Installed by a friend without a "hitch"...lol! I just have one problem I hope you can help me with: The anti wobble wedge will not tighten.... something seems off. As a result the rack is wobbly... Can you help? Thank you

For your 2017 Nissan Rogue, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13204 does require some trimming of an underbody trim panel, so whether you are comfortable doing that trimming or not would be the only issue with doing it yourself. If you are comfortable with the trimming as shown in the video you can absolutely do it yourself. If you are not, any mechanic you trust can install it. You may want to consider the Draw-Tite # 75902 simply because the installation will be the same, but Draw-Tite does not require stabilization strap # 18050 like Curt does for using a bike rack.
The RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack - Wheel Mount # RKY10004 is an excellent option with the ability to add a 3rd bike using # RKY10005. This is a better option than the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider if used for 2 or 3 bikes. If you need the 4th bike, then I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 2-Bike Platform Rack - Frame Mount # HR1450Z with add on # HR1475 for the additional 2 bikes.
The biggest differences are the adapters and the style. They both utilize cable locks and hitch locks, so the wheel or the frame contact is the most differentiating feature. They also store slightly differently because of the hook locations. Let me know if you have any further questions.
