What is the Correct Way to Jack Up a Boat Trailer to Change a Tire

Question:

I am looking for an hydraulic jack to lift my boat trailer and boat, when I get a flat tire. When you get a flat tire the distance from the axle and the ground is very short. I have a 3 tons 6.5inch tall jack that it fits under the axle when the tires are inflated, but when I get a flat tire it does not fit under.

It is not recommend to jack up a trailer by the axle. This may cause damage to the axle itself. It also puts too much stress on the leaf springs. Instead, you will want to place the jack under part of the trailer frame preferably next to the leaf spring hangers. This will give you more room to use a jack like the Powerbuilt Unijack part # ALL620470 which has a 4,000 lb capacity and offer up to an 18-3/8" lift. The jack also has a built in stand for safety as most jacks are not designed to bear a load for an extended period of time.

I have attached a review video of the above jack for you as well.
