Access Rockstar Custom Mud Flap Compatibility with Weigh Safe Ball Mount on 2016 Ford F-350
Question:
looking for mudflaps for 2016 F350 CC single rear wheel. I have your 2-1/2inch weigh safe hitch. These mudflaps look best in photos, but says they need 3inch clearance. Is that accurate? has anyone been able to mount this mud flap on the weighsafe hitch? I prefer the look to the rock tamers.

A minimum of 3" of clearance is needed from the edge of the bumper step to the end of the ball mount shank to ensure a proper fit when using the Access Rockstar Custom Mud Flaps # A1010031. If the ball mount shank does not align with the hitch receiver so that the hitch pin can be inserted - or if the Rockstar's frame cannot be positioned to hang straight and plumb - a longer ball mount will be needed to install the mud flaps.
To mount this on your 2-1/2 inch hitch, you will need adapter # A81008. This adapter requires a space 2-7/16 inches to 4-1/2 inches between the top of the receiver and the top of the vehicle bumper step.
I have not heard of anyone using this with the weigh safe hitch because I don't believe you will have the clearance needed. The Rock Tamers # ERT00110 will work if you have a 1 inch clearance. I have seen this with certain weigh safe mounts.
Let me know if you'd like alternative ball mount recommendations.
