Can the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Be Powered from the Coach
Question:
Can the Invisbrake 8700 be powered by my motorhome instead of CR-V battery? What parts do I need? Do not want to tow with running lights on during the day.

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster about the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System part # RM-8700 on your 2014 Honda CR-V and they strongly advised that you do not power the device with the coaches battery. The reason for this is that in the event that the toad vehicle becomes disconnected for the coach, there would be no way to apply the brakes to the toad vehicle which is very dangerous and in some states, illegal.
If you are worried about battery drain then I recommend just running a charge line for the coaches battery to the vehicle's battery with the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit part # RM-156-25. Please keep in mind that unless you are using magnetic tow lights, the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit part # RM-88400 will be needed to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV.
I have attached an install video of the charge line and brake light relay on similar Honda CR-V's for you as well.
