The Hopkins Backup Sensor System - Audible Alert - License Bracket Mount # HM60100VA can absolutely be used on the front bumper. You will simply need to connect the power wire of the unit to your running light circuit or 12V power on a toggle switch instead of the reverse light function like you would on the back of your vehicle. This will give you the sensor functions anytime the running lights of your vehicle are turned on. Another option is to add a toggle switch and run the power directly from your battery to the switch and then to your Hopkins system if you want to have more control over the power use of the system.
