Ladder Rack Recommendation to Fit Camper Shell on 2011 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Can I mount this to a Tacoma truck topper? The specs and measurements say yes but does the hardware it attaches with work on fiberglass camper shells? I have existing 2 1/4inch holes already drilled on my topper from and existing set of racks. Are the base mounting holes this same 2 1/4inch distance apart? Also, when you remove the racks does the mounting plate stay on the camper shell? I hope so. thanks

I have a great solution for you, but the Rola you mentioned isn't intended for attaching to a camper shell.
Instead I'd recommend the TracRac CapRac part # TH29200XT which is designed specifically for the camper shells/toppers like what you have. The mount holes would not match your 2-1/4 inch mount holes though.
