Difference Between Brake Controller Install Harnesses # 3017-P and 3031-P for 2018 Toyota Tacoma

Your website and CSR said the 3017-P would fit my 2018 Tacoma and the Drawtight Controller, but I see there is another wiring harness that says it will fit, Part 3031-P. What is the difference?

Technically they both fit! The difference is that the # 3031-P is replacing the # 3017-P as it was designed with an extra ground wire which allows the harness to function better.
