What Gauge Wire is Used on the Flex-a-lite 40 Amp Fuse Holder Part # FLX30357K
Question:
My 1996 Elkhorn Slide-In Camper suggests installing a 10 gauge wire protected by a 30 amp fuse be connected to the start battery to charge the camper battery. What is the wire gauge on the FLX30357K and can a 30 amp fuse be substituted for the 40 amp fuse?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Flex-a-lite 40 Amp Fuse Holder part # FLX30357K uses a 10 AWG wire and yes, the 40 amp fuse included with the kit can be replaced with a 30 amp fuse. However, you will need to purchase the 30 amp fuse separately as we do not sell them. The fuse holder also comes with a butt connector and ring terminal. I have attached a review video of the fuse holder for you as well.
