Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the magnetic foldable chess set. This is going to be a nice accessory to have with you, really, anywhere where you're off the grid but you want to have a little mind stimulation, something to kind of take up the time, maybe to occupy the kids if you're hanging out in the RV, it's raining outside, or really just anywhere you want to have a chess set. We can take a closer look at this and make sure that it's going to be the right fit for you. Comes with this little carrying satchel, so we can open that up, take out the board.Everything does stay nice and tucked away inside that board. Just open it up by pulling up on this little latch, and then we can get access to our instructions, so if somebody happens to forget the rules.
Then, we'll have our two sets of pieces, black and white. These are magnetic, so you can get them to stick on the board, and you won't have to worry about them falling off or getting blown away by a gust of wind. So you can see, sit on there pretty well. It's a fairly good magnetic connection, not so much that it makes it hard to remove, but enough to, as you can see, keep them in place. So once we've swept the board, packed everything up, and put everybody back to bed.The board measures about 6 3/8 on one side.
Whenever it's unfolded, it's about 6 1/2. When it's folded up, it's about 6 1/4 by an inch. Whenever it's unfolded, it is about a half inch thick, so pretty nice and compact. Then, it just stows away back in its little bag. It is covered by a lifetime limited warranty from GSI, and that really about does it for our look at the foldable magnetic chess set.
