Recommended Replacement 3 to 2 Wire Tail Light Converter for Motorhome Conversion to Towed Vehicle
Question:
I need to replace a failed DrawTite 18146 power conveter on my RV. This is a 3 to 2 powered converter module. The RV has seperate turn and brake light wires from a multiplexed electrical system that limits current to about 6 amps per circuit. It is not PWM current. My car is wired with combined turn and brake light wires into light sockets added to the tail light housings. The RV is a 05 Wester RV Alpine Coach motor home.

For your replacement 3 wire to 2 wire converter, I recommend the Curt Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196 or the Tow Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # 118158. Either of these are specifically designed to convert the 3 wire motorhome system to the 2 wire system of the vehicle being towed.
