Recommended Safety Chains for 16K Gooseneck Trailer

I just bought a 2018 Ram 3500 and the safety cables do not reach the safety hooks. They are about 10 inches short. Also, need large snap hooks with them My trailer weighs 16,000 lbs. What do you have to fix this?

To replace your safety chains, I recommend the Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks - 44" Long - 16,000 lbs - Qty 2 # 49150. We don't have just a 10 inch extension that is capable of that weight requirement.

I reached out to my contact at Pewag, and the Pewag Grab Hook for Glacier Transport Chain, #G7CG-38-YC, will work with the 5/16 inch chain. I've included a picture of the 3/8 inch hooks on a 5/16 inch chain.
