Wiring Blue Ox Patriot BLU37TR
Question:
Hello, I’d like to use the BO Pat on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ. My MH has a 7-pin receptacle. I want to powe the Patriot from the MH, not the Jeep. Is that possible.

Expert Reply:
You can use the excellent Blue Ox Patriot braking system # BLU37TR in your towed 1995 Jeep YJ but it needs to be powered from the towed car's battery using outlet kit # RM-9332. You also need Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400.
You cannot power the Patriot from the motorhome 12V circuit because a loss of the power connection would make the unit inoperable.
