Center Light on Trailer Causes All Trailer Lights to Blink When Both Turn Signals are Wired to it

Question:

i have a 95 f250 that has a factory installed towing package. i have a cargo trailer that i put new led lights in, one on each side, and the combo high mount light in the center. everything works like the park lights, brake lights, and so on. the problem i have is on the signals. left side top and side works ok, but the right side works, but not the top. when i jumpered the green wire up with the yellow wire, high mount has red, black and withe wires it turns and flashes all my tail lights. do i need a converter, or a diode for each side or what?

It sounds like everything is working correctly except that your top LED light is only flashing with the left turn signal and not the right turn signal.

If your center light is wired like the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL59RB with the White wire for Ground, the Black wire for the Tail/Running Lights, and the Red wire for a Turn Signal, it will only flash with whichever turn signal you have it wired to.

Attaching both the Right Turn/Stop (typically Green wire) and Left Turn/Stop (typically Yellow) wires together will not allow the light to functions properly and you will get feedback like it sounds like you found out.

What you will want to do is use 2 center lights and wire each one to a separate turn signal.
