Recommended 5th Wheel Adapter for Recessed Gooseneck Hitch on 2006 Dodge 1 Ton Dually Flat Bed
Question:
I have a 2006 Dodge 1ton duality truck with a flat bed . It has a recess ball in the bed which is NOT a BandW , my ball is recessed in the bed stationary with a removable cover , do you sell a 5th wheel conversion which fits over the ball ? I can send you a picture of the stationary recessed ball if necessary, Merry Christmas.

Since the gooseneck hitch is recessed we have limited options. Normally a recessed gooseneck hitch in a flat bed offers very limited clearance, so I recommend the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter - 12" to 16" Tall - 20,000 lbs # CAB-C5G. This adapter will give you an adjustable height from the top of the gooseneck ball to the base of the king pin of 12-16 inches.
Another option is the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100, but this lacks the cushioning to make the ride a little nicer. It also requires the Slide Hammer for Ranch Hitch 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3103.
