Wheel and Tire Recommendation for 20k Triple Axle Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have a 20,000lb triple axle trailer and am looking for a tire recommendation? Preferably for 16inch tires? Thank you!

For a triple axle trailer that weighs 20k you'd need wheel/tire combos that have 3,333 lb capacities each. So for a 16 inch wheel and tire with the weight capacity covered and a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern the part # TTWTRTM2358016E for the tires and part # AM20741 for the wheel would work well. This has a capacity of 3,520-lb max load at 80 psi and has a speed rating of 81 mph. We do not have them sold together, so you would need to get them mounted at a local shop.

If instead your trailer hubs have 8 lug bolt patterns you'd instead need the wheel to be the # AM20750 which is the same wheel and tire setup as the other one I mentioned but the wheel is on an 8 lug bolt pattern.

Other thing you should note is that with trailer tires you have to keep them inflated to their max psi rating to ensure you get the full weight capacity and prevent heat build up.
