Recommended Front-Axle Suspension Jounce Spring Kit for 2015 Ford F-53 2WD

Hello, The front sumo spring used to be part # SSF-180-40-1 but now the SuperSprings website is stating that part # SSF-170-40-2 which looks to be a two part spring. Do you know why the change in design?

SumoSprings discontinued the kit SSF-180-40-1 for the 2015 Ford F-53 application and replaced it with the 2-piece jounce spring kits # SSF-170-40-2 for vehicles with GVWR of 16K to 22K and # SSF-173-40-2 for GVWR of 24K to 26K.
Usually a new spring design relates to changes made by the RV makers who may be installing other OEM equipment.
