What Are the Differences Between Sumo Springs Solo vs. Rebel?
Question:
Can you explain the difference between the Sumo Springs Solo products vs Rebel? I have a 2021 F-250 and want something to help with my fifth wheel total weight on the rear axle when towing is approximately 2,000-2,200 lbs including fifth wheel hitch and tonneau cover. Its also my daily driver so I am looking for something that doesnt impact the unloaded drive quality too much.

The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-127-54 has a maximum capacity of 2,800 pounds as opposed to the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-129-40-2 maximum capacity of 2,600 pounds. Also, the design is a bit different. Where the Solo Custom Helper Springs are a one-piece design, the Rebel Springs are a two-piece design that is separated in the middle that allows for unlimited suspension travel. One piece attaches to the frame of the truck, and the other attaches to the axel. This means that there will be more movement in your suspension when you're unloaded or off-roading, which makes your ride smoother and more comfortable with the Rebel Springs.
With that being said and given your tow capacity of 2,000-2,200 pounds, I would definitely go with the Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-129-40-2 because it will give your 2021 F-250 a smoother ride with the two-piece setup than the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-127-54. It won't also impact the drive quality because there will be no connection between the springs if they are not being used for extra tow weight.
