How to Slide Rails of Curt Double Lock Between Frame and Bed of 2012 Ford F-350

Question:

If Im having a problem inserting and sliding the under bed rails in my 2012 Ford F-350 Diesel for the C60720, am I able to just loosen the 8 in-bed bolts to give me the 1/2 inch room I need? Ive never loosened bed bolts, so I dont know if that sounds too simple

If you are having trouble sliding the Curt Double Lock # C60720 rails between the frame and bed of your 2012 Ford F-350, I would not recommend loosening the in-bed bolts; instead, the directions do recommend you cut a notch in the flange on the driver's side of the truck as show in the attached image. This should allow you the needed space to insert the rails.
