How hard is this camera to install on a 2012 chevey silverado and do I need that extension

The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System Item # HM50002 is a snap to install; especially if your 2012 Chevy Silverado has a 7-Way trailer connector. If your truck is a short bed you probably won't need the extension cable, # HM3100504060 for 5 feet or # HM3100504061 for 25 feet. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
