Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring for 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Towing 1993 Ranger Boat
Question:
Which hitch do I need for my 2005 Dodge caravan to be able to pull my 1993 ranger bass boat and the wiring harness

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, there are two separate hitches I recommend based on if you have Stow-N-Go seating or not. If you DO NOT have Stow-N-Go seats, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Multi Fit - Class III - 2" # 75119. If you DO have the Stow-N-Go seats, then I recommend # 75305.
For your wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118300. This harness plugs into your factory wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights.
For a ball mount, I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, a 2 inch diameter ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. I've attached an article to assist with choosing the correct ball mount for your trailer so you can determine which one is the proper fit for this specific application.
