Parts Needed to Replace Slipper Spring Suspension with Double-Eye Suspension for 1,750 lb Trailer

Question:

I need to replace the 3 leaf springs on my 1750 lb rated harbor freight trailer. As you can see from the picture the smallest leaf fell off while trailering recently. It currently has 2 inch wide slipper springs that measure 21 1/4 inch from center of bushing to highest arc of curve or 22 7/8 inch from center bushing to end of spring. The two mounting holes on the trailer are 20 3/8 inch apart. I dont see any 2inch wide 3 leaf slipper springs listed. This 20 3/8 inch double eye Item # SP-169275 is the closest and would match the mounting holes on the trailer but it is only 1 3/4 inch wide. Can you recommend an appropriate leaf spring? Thank you.

Although we do not have an exact replacement for your 3 leaf slipper spring, the Double-Eye Spring # e84SR that you referenced will work great. It is rated for use with a 2,000 lb trailer axle so your weight rating of 1,750 lbs will be no problem.

To install this on your trailer you will need a suspension kit like part # APS4. Since each trailer setup is unique you will need to check out the helpful information on the suspension kit page as well as the helpful article that I attached to make sure that everything is installed properly.

If this suspension kit is not correct for your application I have attached a link to our selection of suspension kits for double-eye, single axle trailers that you can check out.
