Replacement Hub for Harbor Freight 4 x 8 Trailer

Question:

Im sure youve had a bunch of questions on Hubs for HF trailers. It really frustrates me that a company cannot tell you the size hub you need when they dont carry them anymore. What have you guys heard that would fit the heavy duty, 1125 lb 4x8foot trailer?

The downside to buying a "bargain" trailer kit is that customer support, both in terms of helpful information and available replacement parts, can be scarce. The other issue is that products made to sell at a tempting price point may not consistently use the same parts, as in when the manufacturer can suddenly obtain less costly components and makes a running change that is not documented.

For finding new hubs the best way to go is to pull one hub from the spindle and to remove the bearings and seal. Take note of the part numbers for the outer bearing, inner bearing and grease seal. You can refer to the linked image that shows how bearing and seal numbers usually appear on these parts.

You can then search out site using those part numbers or you can note their inner and outer diameters and search our bearing parts by those dimensions. A new hub must use the same bearings as the original for it for fit correctly on the spindles.
