Electric Trailer Brake Controller Port Location on a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
I own a 2006 Dodge 2500 SLT CDT w tow package. I bought the Agility HM 47294 brake controller and the HM 47755. For the life of me I can not locate where the 47755 plugs into the vehicles harness. Nor does there seem to be any connections under the dash that would take the 47755. Do I have the right part or am I missing something? Is it possible they did not wire it with a connector under the dash?

From what I was able to find, you will plug in the HM47755 harness in an empty slot located under the dash at the very back, between the emergency brake and steering column U-joint. It could also be up under the dash, on the left side and above some other harnesses and/or components, so it will not be in plain sight.
If your 2006 Dodge Ram came with a 4-Way trailer connector and not a 7-Way, there will not be a plug present and you will need to hard wire the brake controller using 4 and 7 -Way installation kit # ETBC7. I have included a link to an FAQ article that covers brake controller installation with or without a tow package.
