Recommendation For Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension W/Electric Brakes For 6 x 5.5 Bolt Pattern
Question:
I'd like to purchase the Timbren Axle-less suspension, brakes, and hubs for a trailer build but all the options confuse me. I know I want the 2200-lb 4 inch lift spindles, and I need 6x5.5 inch bolt pattern to match my Tacoma. I'd like to use a 255 tire and have electronic brakes. Let me know what you recommend!

Because you are wanting a 4 inch lift spindle with a 6 x 5-1/2 bolt pattern, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System- 4 inch Lift Spindle w/Flange - 2.2K Item # ASR1THDS03 . It will give you the suspension components integrated into the axle-less spindles.
With this kit, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10 inch - Left and Right Hand Assemblies Item # AKEBRK-35-SA along with the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - E-Z Lube Axles - 10 inch Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 Item # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K.
This Timbren Axle-less system with the other components will give you the suspension as well as the lift for using larger wheels for increased clearance. This system only requires a 2 inch square tube be used between the spindles into the integrated holes for support. This will increase your ground clearance under the trailer as well.
As you build your trailer, you will need wiring as well which you may already have. One tool that can make wiring easier is a Spectro Trailer Wiring Junction Box like Item # 38656. The Spectro junction box can provide a fast and easy way to connect the wires from your trailer connector to the wiring for either a 6-Way or 7-Way connector.
Unless you already have one, your tow vehicle will also need a brake controller. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Item # 90195.
If you will send more information like the year of your Tacoma and what kind of connections for your trailer you already have or will need, I can recommend the correct parts for everything.
