Does Malone Roof Rack MPG202 Fit 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan with Raised Rails
Question:
Hi, I would like to purchase these Malone cross bar see picture. On my VW tiguan rails, There’s some small holes to secure the factory cross bars. I don’t see any pins on these Malone universal bars.l to secure them. Would they hang on tight if I drive for 5 hours on a highway with a cargo box and paddle boards side by side considering the weight being less than 150 pounds? I wouldn’t want the rack to fall of due to the wind pushing on it... Is there a certain warranty on this topic? I hope this makes sens. Thanks for your time

For your 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan the Malone roof rack part number # MPG202 is a confirmed fit that would work well. Malone has test fit it on your vehicle and found that it fit and was perfectly safe. It has a weight capacity of 165 lbs. It does not need to fit into the pin holes of your rails and instead clamps tightly to the bars.
When it is tightened to the rails of your roof it would not push back on them from the wind. The rack has a limited lifetime warranty that would protect it from manufacturer defects as well.
