Recommended Roof Box for a 2015 Honda CR-V to Clear Rear Hatch
Question:
Hi I have a Honda CRV with factory rails and Thule aeroblade bars. I am looking for a roof box, long enough to fit my skis 160cm and that can be moved forward enough to allow the hatch to open without touching. Can you recommand a brand/model? Thank you

Expert Reply:
For a roof box that will fit the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack on your 2015 Honda CR-V, I reccomend using the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box part # Y07192. The RocketBox will allow you to store up to 14 cubic feet of cargo and will fit skis that are up to 170 cm long. The crossbar spacing is also compatible with the recommended spacing of your vehicle.
As you can see in the attached video, the roof box will clear the rear hatch. I have attached an install video of this box on a similar 2013 Honda CR-V for you as well.
