Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-350 for Reese Hitch

Question:

I just bought a 2017 F350 short bed. I have a Reese #30047 16K 5th wheel hitch. Which brackets and rails are compatible? My trailers corners are cutout to allow the turning radius so I dont need a sliding hitch.

You'd want to go with a set of custom install Reese fifth wheel rails/brackets for your 2017 Ford F-350 without the factory rail kit.

The part # RP56017-53 is an outboard kit which means it the brackets mount to the outside of the frame rails making it a bit easier. Downside is a slightly bigger rail and higher price.

The inboard kit part # RP50074-58 is your other option. You'd get a lower price and smaller rails but a more involved install.

Since you have tapered nose trailer your stationary hitch part # RP30047 would work just fine!
