Recommended Base Plate Kit and Tow Bar 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
Hi, I have a 2017 Wrangler Unlimited Winter Limited Edition with the factory steel bumper. Below the bumper it has a couple of D-rings. You can see them on the jeep website under winter limited edition. They are 1/2inch thick. Is there an adapter that can used Similar to the RM-035 or will I need a different baseplate or bumper that has 3/4inch d-rings? Thank you.

I do have an option for you but Roadmaster does not make an adapter designed to work with 1/2" thick d-rings.
I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and they informed that the 1/2" steel d-rings on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited bumper are not strong enough for flat towing.
The only option I have for you is to use a base plate kit. The only base plate kit we have conformed to fit the Winter Edition is the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1133. For a towbar compatible with the base plate, you will want to use the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7380.
If you have a Roadmaster towbar, I would need to know what model it is as you will need an adapter to use it with the Blue Ox base plates.
